Certified Drone Pilot and DroneKit Programmer

Frank Diebel is a certified drone pilot and software developer who mainly uses the popular Python programming language. The platform-independent programming language Python is particularly widespread in the field of science. Python developers like Frank use the language because it allows particularly rapid development and the rapid implementation of problem solutions. Frank Diebel's startup DQ Copter Solutions uses Python DroneKit for its new development of drone and UAS software for its own industrial drone solutions.

Using DroneKit-Python, Frank Diebel can create apps that run on a built-in companion computer and communicate with the ArduPilot flight controller over a low-latency connection. The onboard apps from DQ Copter Solutions will significantly improve the autopilot, make UAV behavior more intelligent and perform tasks that are computationally intensive or time-critical (e.g. computer vision, path planning or 3D modeling). Frank Diebel also uses DroneKit-Python in the ground stations of DQ Copter Solutions, which communicate with the drones via an RF connection.
